VN SS not sure to sell.....

hey all, I have a vn ss that ive owned a few yrs, its given me much joy and no hassles but lately im finding it hard to afford running it.
Im contemplating selling but wanted some general opinions first on what may be the going price....

Its got a bodykit, been resprayed, got 3 peice ROH rims, exhaust, cam, seats are out a VR senator or Clubsport, so too is the 185kw engine, tinted windows, steering wheel, practically new tyres all round, got the level 3 dash, and is in good condition.

Gimme some ideas on prices please peoples??

i reckon about 5-8k mayb more, you shud of left the original bodykit wud of been heaps better, but its ur car u do what u want... otha thing is it auto or manual u wud get more $$ if it was a manual

That bodykit isn't going to do you any favours with trying to get top dollar.

You can basically forget its an SS, and sell it as a modified VN.

i havent touched a thing on the car, boucht it as is- only thing ive done was put the stereo in it.

yeah i figured. You'd have to have a few screws loose to put 'that' bodykit on an SS

Argh i still can't understand why people put VS clubby or senator kits on VN's. Especially on this car. The original SS kits look tonnes better. I doubt you would get much for it now you put that rear bar on there. Most people want original VN SS's.

It's still got me rooted as to why people put those haggard kits on VN's / VP's, they only look good on VS's / VR's. And only when it's a genuine Clubsport or Senator.

ahh well, i suppose the kit was put on it as it was available, as i had mentioned i didnt put it on, and as for the case of the rear bar im sure if it bothered someone so much theyd have no hassles swapping it for an original. The car had more pluses for me when i purchased it, i too didnt cry in joy over the kit but the engine, the exhaust, seats, wheels,steering wheel, tint, immobilser, strut brace, and cross drilled rotors and so forth outweighed a stock VN SS to me.

also the door strips. theyre too thin to be the ss one. theyre like what you would find on an exec

lol, good onya to the guys on here that understand im not asking for critisism merely remarks on fair price i should be asking for it. when i purchased it i questioned if it was an ss, spoke to a friend working with holden who said the exec and ss had same vin numbers so you cant authenticate so after looking for ages for a mint ss that was stock i decided this was the way to go. Like I mentioned it had the fringe benefits with all the aftermarket gear a stock ss didnt have, and at that time the ss's i had seen where all around the $9,000 plus mark, stock with nothing to them that would make me part with that money.

lol judging from the from some posts all i can gather is people where bagging it out not actualy saying your will get this much because yadda yadda yadda lol

people say 5k, i say 6k minimum, should be able to get more depending on kms, roady, and reg. looks clean and i'm sure plenty of people would want to buy it at that price. i saw a vp exec? v8 no reg no roady nothing special about it for 4k, if someone asks that price and sells then surely you'd get more for a modified car. selling as ss may attract some people but the smart ones won't care whether you say it's an ss or not because of the kit, seats, wheels etc...

yeah, im all confused with a fair price to be asking. I dont want to be unfair to others or myself. its got 3 months rego and low k's. Its not perfect, someone tried to break into the front passenger door and scratched it up a little, the criuse control doesnt work anymore, and the trans works well although if you pound it around a corner it sometimes slips- probably needs a top up.
Its got reciepts for new radiator, new waterppump but not for the other stuff, as it was already done with previous owner. Its got a camber kit on front, lowered heavy duty springs and suspension and so forth and so forth.

lol heres a a good rule to stick by when selling ya car stick a thousend dollars on top of what u want... i someone comes across and wants it at the extra price well goodo and if someone coems and trys to bargain u down u have room to move...

stick 6g on it and see what happens

and i would have told that guy he was dreaming...lol.... mods count but not that much it all depends who wants to buy it ..

thats not what i was trying to say, same with airstrike. i was trying point out that im fairly certain it was never an ss to begin with. it just looks like an exec v8 with a bodykit.

lol, its funny how all one can ask is what they think a good price is- and it becomes a debate on personl preference on bodykits lol. As said above thanks to those who understand im just asking for a price guide... and BTW- female here. cheers
