How good a filter are you looking for?

You can go to Franz filters, about $250 for the kit- lifetime filter which filters (reportedly) down to .01 micron. Most damage is done by particles smaller than most spin on filters remove. Oil lasts a lot longer as well.

Alternatively my oil tests havent seen any poor result from using Valvoline filters. Cheap and nasty enough, but with regular filter changes (10 000k's) I still get 30 000+ k's (or more, depending which vehicle) from the oil.

you can get these magnets that fit around the oil filter using really strong rear earth magnets (or something like that) apparently they help to stop really small particles that the filter doesn't stop also. i think there called magtec or something. i've seen em advertise in some of the performance mags

Oil Filters That Reduce Engine Wear and Save You Dollars

Another one, a lot cheaper. Cant speak for quaity though. Waiting to hear back about filter efficiency, filtration ratios etc. They say it filters down to between 5 and 1 micron
