Default IRS v Non IRS- Lowering

ok im looking at lowering my vn v6 s1 wagon... nothing crazy just it sits way to high and looks like its ready to tackle a 4x4 track.

ive been looking around at springs and so forth and want to know the difference between irs and non irs and which one i have. and whether or not i have to get springs that are for wagons or if i can just put sedan ones on.

    thanks guys

You dont have IRS you have a solid axle. not sure on the Sedan VS Wagon springs i think they might be the same not sure.

Yeah no VN's had IRS, it was introduced in the VP.
The front springs will be the same (Cept V8 or V6), but i think there is a difference in wagon and sedan rear springs, i think the wagons ones are a bit stiffer to carry more weight or somthing, could be wrong though

All wagons up to and including the VS were live axle, the first wagon to have IRS was the VT. Sedan and wagon springs are different. I'm pretty sure wagons springs are shorter because the shocks are.

wagon springs are around the same height as sedan, but they are a heavierrate to handle bigger loads. the shocks are shorter because they bolt to a different spot than the sedans.

you can run sedan springs in the wagon fie, just dont load it up like you uld a wagon normally or it will sag more than normal.

ive had sedan springs in for a few years now, no dramas.
