It seems as soon as I fix somthing, somthing else goes..
anyone know what I could be lookin for with a strange metal on metal creak from left rear wheel/suspension area..?
Bushes or somthing?
I have just done some of them but cant really see or tell which others are worn.
any ideas on how to do a once over at the back/
thanks

It's called owning a car that is pushing 20 years old. Either get used to it or buy something newer. As for metal on metal - get somebody who knows what they are doing to check your brakes. Don't drive the car till you have this done!
Reaper
get the pedders safety point check done it costs *** all
For starters, you are driving a VN / VP era commodore, second, as Reaper said, our models are pushing the 20 year mark. Unless you totally restore it from the shell up, get used to it. Only thing i need to go is have my diff and gearbox rebuilt, and the thing is basically new again mechanical / suspension wise. Every bush is being replaced on saturday, full Pedders suspension kit already holds it up, rear swaybar, panhard (adjustable) front strut brace etc. Engine has been rebuilt. Brakes were replaced a year and a half ago.

I have replaced quite a bit of gear on it already
heh, just thought I would put it out there for a practical answer
If i find nothing might go and get the safety check done.

The rubber that holds the spring off the arm might be worn through. That happens
mate check your wheel bearings but metal on metal sounds like worn brake pads.
maybe the internal handbrake drum pads ???
