Converting a v8 tacho to v6

Can any one tell me if there is a way to convert the vn v8 tacho to v6 I imagine it would be hard to find just the tacho movement at any wreckers and I would like to use the dash I got to save money

I have seen mention that you only need to add a few resistors to convert a v6 to v8 so I guess you only need to remove or change the values of the resistors to downgrade v8 to v6 but I don't know what values that are needed which is all I was trying to find out

I decided to remove the guages from the cluster I had because wasn't sure if it was out of vn,vp,vr or vs I then installed them into the cluster I removed from my car which was a level 1 vn. Installed it to check if the petrol gauge worked and thought might start it to see if the tacho worked, well it did to my surprise it looks as though either some one already did the mod on it or it works any seemed to be accurate
