I can grab a picture, maybe a make a workguide on how to change it, depending on how long you can wait. I have to do this on my brothers VN, but he wont have the money for a while knowing him lol.
Anyways if you follow the big air tube back to the TB, its just under that, its has some wires going to it. I had a quick look at what need to be done to change them, and it looks like it would be easiest to remove the air tube to get good access.

ok on the throttle body you have two sensors the one at the back is for idle control the one under the throttle body is the tps to clean the idle control motor you need to remove the TB from the car you will need a torx 20 screwdriver or bit and heaps of rags aswell as throttle body/carby cleaner both sensors use the same torx bit. I cleaned mine the other day came up spotless cleaned the butterfly and the idleports real good but made a huge mess on my nice clean garage floor hence the rags.

ok you'll need to clean these out bear in mind I have only shown you the TB from the front and side there is also a idle control port at the back that needs to be cleaned out as well

the Idle control does what its name implies it allows more airflow or restricts it to keep engine at a constant RPM

Hi , just ripped of the throttle body , took out throttle posi sensor and idle control solenoid , as thought heaps of gunk and stuff in the passages especially the idle solenoid spring and plunger and its passages. What i was wondering was will the solenoid and tps from a vp fit ? , i can get it of my mates wreck, ide like to see if it makes a diff, also the throttle cable plate has a plastic housing containing the spring underneath it, my housing containing spring is in 2 bits with a part of the spring poking out sort of lop sided , could this have caused stiff accelerator action at first when pushed down ? , thanks..............

could do I think it sounds like something isn't right with yours and the tps and idle control will fit as mentioned above but the throttle body will too, easier just swap TB's

Make sure you did the TB bolts up tight, or that the gasket didn't have any cracks in it, that would cause it to idle a little higher, due to air seeping into the motor, or you might just need to adjust the butterfly screw might have wound in a bit.

yep ill check tomorrow , mate just dropped off complete intake/manifold , so i can juggle bits around to see what happens , actually was a cool night drove home car seemed to run not to bad !,maybe revs a little high,i reckon the gasket might have been split when i put the t/b back on, do u think it would make 300rpm diff ? , thanks........

if you got complete manifold assembly just take the throttle body off that one check if that gasket is any good and use it if it is also maybe think of using the other throttle body if you want

I know its been said alot but its best to reset your cpu after you put it back together.
    1. remove fuse above battery for 5 mins
    2. discon battery for 10 secs

then i think with both methods you need to rev to 3000? for 10 secs or so then put it in drive and hold the brake on for 30 secs and hopefully it will change to a better idle speed

if you have air con and auto you need to run for 30 secs in neutral with air con off then 30 secs air con on in neutral then 30 secs in drive foot on brake air con off then 30 secs in drive air con on. if manual its just 30 secs air off 30 secs air on in neutral
