Need help finding fault

Hi Guys
I need some help finding a couple of faults im having with my vn wagon. I have lot long ago replaced the series 1 engine with a series 2 which goes well but every now and then it starts to miss & the tacho goes nuts & the temp gauge shows the wrong indication & its hard to start like the battery is nearly flat. I have replaced the computer, coil pack & module from the square one to the three round ones. Any help would be great as it driving me nuts.

probably do a diagnostic first.

If your temp is going replace both coolant temp sensors in the engine.

then on the other hand it could be....

have you checked your battery and alternator????

If your gauges are going haywire then its a sign the voltage is too low.
low voltaGE WILL ALSO CAUSE IT TO MISS

alternator and battery check.

Check the earth cables from the battery to the engine and engine to body,body to battery.

i think youll find this guy is on the money,

could also be a problem with your voltage reg in the alternator.
