i was just curious if anyone knew if its possible to put a sports/racing steering wheel onto a column shift? and is it harder than a normal steering wheel?
cheers
Never seen a column shift in a VP, but i assume it will work exactly the same way a floor shift would in terms of a after market steering wheel. The boss kis is going to attach to where your original wheel bolts, so their shouldnt really be a problem. But will stand corrected. Also can you post some interior shots im interested to see what the column shift looks like.
must be a six seater is it a wagon? is it an ex taxi? I have seen a few column shifts most came out as taxi pack six seater wagons, some sedans
i will get a pic. its a VP ute actually.
sum pics...hope they arent too dark
Can't see why it wouldn't work. Make sure the new wheel has a similar dish to your stock one.
Reaper
wat do u mean by dish?
i think he means how far the rim of the steering wheel comes out, so the steering wheel doesnt rub on the column shift?
I doubt you could find a steering wheel larger than a VN/VP one![]()
Should be fine. i'm pretty sure the boss kit brings the sports wheel out move cause i member that the indicator was further away lol
