    Default Smoke coming from wheel?

Before you ask there the front wheels not back ones

Well today i took my car out for a bit of a drive, after about, ill say 20 mins of driving, i stoped at the lights and noticed smoke coming from the front right wheel. I pulled over and took a look, wasent the engine so i drove the next k to get home.

What i want to now what could cause this all of a sudden? the shocks and springs are pretty worn and i already got replacments for both not in the car yet.

    thanks

if the brakes are new it could be some sort of fluid on dripping onto the disc and burning away.

Check your disc faces from where the smoke was coming from,if they are a blue colour the calliper is hanging/grabbing (stuck on),easy fix is check the level of the brake fluid in the master cylinder,if it is overfull with the brake fluid the brakes wont work effectivelly and they will grab.Had experienced this a few days ago.

did you do the pads yourself cause I've done this myself got greasy hands on the discs and thats caused em to smoke along with the new pads bedding in not completely covered in grease just hand prints no detrement to braking to those people that are gonna say so!!!! if it still smokin after a good drive start to worry I mean a good long drive just keep a feel for the pedal and the normal stopping distance of your car. did you bleed the brakes after the pads were replaced, did you use a bottle and hose on the nipple or just let the brake fluid squirt out before tightening the nipple this can also get brake fluid on the caliper and disc which can cause the smoke I have also done this so yes before you guys say something "really bodgey" I agree but as long as you don't release the pedal before you tighten the nipple then it won't suck air
