Default Friggen T700, what's the problem

after being rebuilt with a B&M stage 2 shift kit, my trans doesn't want to change into overdrive at 180+km/h, if i back off the throttle it changes up but as soon as i try to accelerate again it kicks down to 3rd and winds out to 220km/h, more if i want it to, it will probably go to redline, i let off at 220km and it changed up, but as soon as i tried to accelerate again it kicked down to 3rd at 220km/h, and went straight to redline, i do have the kick down set at maximum tension but this still shouldn't happen should it?

contolled environment, i had to test the new trans, make sure it was working right, and guess what, it's not, and i wouldn't have found out unless i did that speed, so i gotta sort it out before warranty expires

well i kept clicking it tighter until, when the throttle was full the adjuster clicked loose, then i set it one notch from where it clicked loose at full throttle, so it is as tight as possible, but doesn't affect all the other gears

usually with shift kitted transmissions you go .......tight cable, full throttle(engine off), then back it off 2 clicks
its got something to do with the boost valve being bigger

yeah i want mine to hold gears as long as possible and to kick down at higher speeds in each gear, but obviously i went a bit too over the top, might be working the trans too hard having it set like it is, maybe that's why it packed it in be for i got it rebuilt.

the kick down cable being too tight was the cause, i loosened it 1 notch and it's all good now.

Yeah they're pretty much not designed to be able to do 180+ in 4th I think. Same sort of thing as the electronic fuel shutoff as I understand it, I could be completely wrong though. And as if it was in a controlled environment.
