Hi , after mucking around with my t/b and associated bits a friend has suggested that a/few injectors could be sticking, thus giving an erratic idle , seeing i have the complete intake already i might exchange all the injectors over and see if it makes a diff , is there anything to look out for swapping them around ? , i think the manifold comes off of a vr/vs are they the same ? , thanks...............
not sure if they are the same but I replaced mine when I thought they where the problem with my car I tried to do the thread on the fuel up after I screwed the fuel rail down but the thread went in cross threaded?? so had to put the original one back on did the thread up before I screwed the fuel rail down and was fine but the prob with my VN is the fuel pump so it didn't matter.
the fuel rail might be different but the the injectors should be the same
thanks for replies , i think they screw in and use a o-ring , i think !!!
no they have clips into the fuel rail and are pushed in with O rings holding them. they may seem like they won't come out but will give eventually
when changing over do i have to depressurise the fuel rails somehow , and do the lines/system have to be blead ? when put back in , thanks...........
you guys wont believe this , gave the car a bit of a hurryon tonight, and walla!, idles around normal now !, still fluctuates a bit though , got me stuffed what the prob is, maybe sticking injectors, temp sensor , who knows ?........
yeah probably just need good run to teach ecu when taking off the fuel rail take out the fuel pump fuse in the engine bay then run car till fuel runs out. no need to bleed cause return pipe to tank takes care of that
thanks , might swap over the temp sender unit while im at it , which one is it though ? , theres 3 on the inlet manifold ! , ta........
