Finally have the answer to my engine problems, looks like it's been my fuel pump this entire time. I pulled the fuel return line off the other day and was bone dry. I realised I couldn't hear the pump priming when I turned the key, although the engine starts and Idles but won't rev past 2500 rpm. Any who, A mate of my brothers is wreckin' a VR that threw a rod He still has the tank in it so I figured instead of messing around changing the pumps I'd just take out the tank and replace mine with it. save on the stuffing around with gaskets etc. anyway I figured I'd take photos and post em up if people are interested in seeing how to change tanks
