Question MAP Sensor Problems and wiring stuffup

My VN with a VR engine is really driving me NUTS, I come up with error 34 map sensor, have changed it 3 times.
I done the fault check and I get a whirry noise from the MAP sensor, when I short out BK/BW on the aldl the thermo does not come on, just this noise from the map sensor, can somebody please put me out of my misery
I checked the wiring to the map and instead of 3 wires BLACK,GREY,Light GREEN, there are 4wires LIGHT GREEN,LIGHTGREEN/BLACK,LIGHTBLUE,LIGHTBLUE/BLACK.
The other 3 wires I found in the harness taped up and only connected to the ECU, has anybody got any ideas???? Thanks

WELLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the problem was, what I thought was the map sensor, wasn't it was something on the throttle body with 4 wires, now we all know that the map is mounted on the firewall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DON'T WE??????.
When I done the conversion I was told that the map sensor was to do with the A/C, seeing as I wasn't using the air I left it out.
Which brings me to the SUPPOSED handbooks of Max Ellery, a complete waste of paper, I'm going to start saving my used loo paper, as I'm sure I can interpret more out of that than Ellerys CRAPPY MANOOLS.
Thanks to "just a stocker" for his input

If you have replaced the map sensore with (new items) and still throughs the map sensor fault i would suggest looking at a vaccum leak or even looking at a faulty O2 sensor. If the O2 sensor in within specs i would soak it in vinegar over night and then blow it out with compressed air in the morning nad let it dry out before reinstalling.
