i had to cut my wiring harness at the air box, just rewiring it all and theres some wires that appear twice, for example 2 light blue wires, wich i traced back to the injectors, they ended up being crimped half way up the harness, 2 are the same colour brown and 2 are light green with a black stripe..
all come from the bcm. one of the light green wires leads to the air con compressor relay the other is taped off near the battery, now sofar ive only found this in my harness, the other one that came with the engine didnt have the extra wires wich scares me!
i wanted to use my old one because it has the alternator wiring in with the injectors, not on its own like some of the later vn's
the brown wire leads to the tacho input i think
i guess my main question is, if there the same colour then is there a good chance they do the same thing? im worried about wiring these brown wires around the wrong way and causeing a fire, theres no way of identifying which is which without pulling the whole loom out and physically following it
its a calais so im thinking the extra brown wire may lead to the factory tacho?
