Hey all

I remember reading that the input shaft for the rack and pinion changed mid way through VP. Did it go from a splined shaft to a squished round shaft?

If so, can a later rack be used in an early vn? ie can i change the transmission shaft between the rack and the main column to suit the later rack?

/story: picked up a healthy rack with the squished round shaft, want to put it into my vn. I cant really get in/under enough to see what sort of shaft i have.
