Installing VN Calais

Hi, i recently installed an alarm to my VN that has a remote boot open function. I've got the lever type boot, But i've got a boot solidnoid and button in the garage. How hard it is to convert it over, and how do i install the solidnoid?

ey stockies, the wiring looks like its there, i looked in my brothers car but couldnt find the wiring, pretty much those motors are stepped motors, they designed to do 1 step if they're set consistantly on, they catch on fire (happened to me) so be very careful with shorts/switches, pretty much if u cant find the wiring to tap into run your own fused with a 20A fuse from the battery to a switch which CANT be switched to on (a push button like the stock ones) and then run that single wire to your motor then ground it on the boot lid or something

thats how id do it but honostly its more wank factor i had it in my vn and my alarm went spastic and launched the boot open at 80km lol

Hahaha. yeah it's just for the wank factor. I'll check and see if the wiring is there. If its not, then i just have to decide how bad i want a remote boot release.
