    Default Loud noise on takeoff

    Hey all.
    I have developed a loud rattling noise on take off. When I come to a stop then take off a rattle happens then disappears. It will only do it in 1st gear and second if i rev the engine. mmmm???? Any suggestions

    Down low and it sounds very tinniy. I thinks if they were lifters they would be all the time

    Check the exhaust, make sure it is clear of the body all the way along. Check the cat too, it will rattle if it is broken inside. Other obvious things are engine mounts and gearbox mount.

    Harmonic Balance can be bad too - look at the rubber in the middle - see if it has any splits in it or bits missing.

    I check the harmonis balance and it looks good. I had a cat and pacemakers installed last month but the car has backed fired twice since then and maybe has stuffed the cat. Will get it looked at 2morrow

    Hey all!
    Good news it's not the cat. BAD news it's both engine mounts and a gearbox mount that are stuffed. Around $300 bucks to fit cause of my headers.
    Oh well at least I know!! No fooling around of the lights. hehe
