fuel pump

my internal fuel pump has given up so is it posible to leave the dead one in the tank and fit a after market one just out side the tank?has anyone done this befor?thanks all.

Yes its been done, and i dont think its worth it might aswell buy a new 1 for less than $100 and put it in. Also if you leave the dead 1 in there i dont think the other pump could suck the fuel thro a dead fuel pump could be wrong tho, but i dont think its worth trying.
