Default IRS VP rear springs into Live Axle VN

i know they dont fit the other way around, but would IRS VP springs fit into a live axle VN? (i have heard rumours that they do) cause i can get a full set of superlows from a vp from a mate for $20.

    cheers lads.

Different height, shape and dia. All they have in common is they are both coil springs.

Fronts are the same. Just make sure they are for a 6 cyl. V8's use a higher spring rate.

Somebody on here reckons they have IRS rears on a live axle, can't remember who it was though. I suspect they think they have IRS springs, but they are really live axle ones as the IRS springs get narrower at the top and bottom, but live axle retain the same diameter through the whole spring.

yeah mate, from a v6 vp calais.
slowly getting my vn half decent.
**** the offset on my dragways though, gonna have to lose the rears and replace em with stockies cause the dragways will hit the guards.

They are probably off the HQ-WB series Holdens then, not Commodore.

yeah they most probably are off that series holden. they were on my commo when i got it, the extra track on the fronts does make it handle better though.
