    Default Backrest winder removal

Hey guys, fitted some VX SS bucket seats to the front of my VP, that's all fine, but i'm trying to figure out how to remove the backrest winder (on the side) of my old VN calais seats to the plastic strip off the side of them to put onto the modified VX seats.

Anyone know how to remove this winder? It's not budging.....

    Cheers.

If i remember correctly, the centre piece has to be popped off using a flat knife or something similar. then there's a screw under that. It's the circluar piece in the middle that comes off.

Nah that doesn't work. I can't pry the winder off. That little circular piece in the middle is all one part with the actual winder, it's not a cover or anything. It can't be pryed off.

    Can ANYONE help?

thats what i thought aswell.... but it does come apart. get the thinnest flat screwdriver you can find and pry it off.... and on mine there wasnt a screw underneath.. was just that circle and then the whole winder thing just came off.. that was somehow keeping it locked tight on there..

Thw winder HANDLE falls off? Or the whole component won't hold the seat up when you sit in it?

If it's just the winder handle that keeps coming off, just glue it back on. If it's the second one, i have no idea.

Yeah i could see it being a bit of a bugger trying to fix that. If you are looking for new seats i wouldn't even bother.
