    Default Do you need a Puller to get a S1 Harmonic balencer off

    Just a quickie, im gunna do my harmonic balancer tomorrow but i dont have a puller

    i remember hearing somwhere that the S1 V6 doesnt need a puller they just come straight off.. is this true or do i need a puller?

    i needed a puller to get mine off so i say yes u do
    there not that dear anyway so worth having one

    as fare as i no mate you need a puller for all harmonic balancers but i might be wrong

    my $h!tbox s1 v6 vn H balancer come of with a desent pull lol, No puller required
    have a go and if your replacing it get imaginative and use maybe tyre levers? you might have to remove thermo fans to do this tho i had too!

    done 2 and no puller was required for me however series 2 need a puller just pull with some decent amout of force and it should come

    Thumbs up The answer is NO!

    Hey Just an update,

    Decided to try without and then if needed get one then.

    Once i got a breaker bar and 1200mm of Roundbar and got the bolt undone it slipped off as easy as checking the oil, new on on bout 3 minute job all round.

    I can drive my car again pity about the Gearbox noises...
