G'day guys
I've owned my Vp almost trouble free for just over a year now and just the other week started to get gear box problems. Had trouble changing gears. But that’s only half the problem now! On Tuesday my engine (I Think!) started making a knocking sound! I checked the oils and all was good. So drove it straight home and haven’t driven it since.
Knocking usually means the big end bearings, but after reading through JC I’m going to have a look at my harmonic balancers.
To check my bearings I can drop my oil and look for traces of bearings.

The question is, is it worth fixing??
I bought the car for $500 about a 1.5 years ago and have spent well over 3g on it (including Rego twice). The cars got rego till mid Jan next year!!
I have just bought a VT and was planning to sell the VP! It would cost more to fix it than what I could sell for! I was hoping for $1300 but now ill be lucking to get more that $400. The engine was running really well, and had no leaks and didn’t burn oil! Over all the car is in really good condition, just in need of a heart transplant!!

What do you guys recon I should do?
