ok so my oxygen sensor has gone to a better place.... and i need a new one, so here is the questions
1. if i was happen to get hold of a L67 oxygen sensor, would it be a direct swap? (i read somewhere that it is but id rather confirm with you guys before i go spending money)
2. roughly what would be the price of one? the supercharged and the stock replacement?
sorry if this seems like a n00b question but i couldn't find it anywhere and thought if it's a direct replacement, then why not put something better in
thanks alot![]()
I recently had my exhaust replaced. One issue was that the oxy sensor was not fitted in the exhaust system. Should I get one fitted? I don't have any issue with power from the V6
VS have 4 wire O2 sensors so i would assume that the L67 has these also.
if you have a S1 VN you would need the single wire as mentioned above. however you can fit a 2 wire if you wish, just wire the extra wire to earth (block or chassis), should in theory give a better signal to the ecu (there is a reason they fitted 2 wire sensors to later models)
you should. you may not have lost any power but it will effect your economy

Yeah i'm using a 2 wire one in my VN which had a 1 wire one to start with. i had a brand new 2 wire one laying here which i didnt want to waste. all you have to do is wire the black wire to earth.
ahh nicewill do then... thanks for the answers people
ill get my mate to get a price on a 2wire o2 sensor from his work.... thanks again...
22 wire ones are cheaper than the 1 wire ones! so i dont see the point when a 2 wire will do the job!
In Summation
The 2 wire ones are better than the 1 wire ones?
In theory yes. 2 wire has its own earth. 1 wire earths through the extractors / block etc.. which all heats up. heat = resistance in electronics.
YES. why otherwise would holden fit em if they weren't better? as i mentioned above. all sensors need a good clean earth, that way they provide the best consistant signal to the ecu. if you have poor earthing it's going to provide a erratic signal to the ecu as the resistance changes/fluctuates . this is true for any sensor fitted to the engine

Motor traders prices i'm talking. which are genuine.
how many oxy sensors? cause i can only find 1 on my vp
awesome, always thought there might be 2 cause of the v configuration
