Monaro Rear LED Stop Light

Hey guys looking for a bit of DIY advice

Can i fit an led tail light onto my parcel shelf where the old tail light is currently using the same wiring with a bit of butchering?

Also what are our dash boards made out of because i want to put some gauges just above the middle dash vents but under the plastic **** so its all flush mounted and the same colour, kinda like the gauges in the newish hsv's?

With the LEDs, yes you can easily do it. If you are buying a ready-made tail light then it should already work perfectly, but if you are doing the LEDs yourself all you have to do is have a resistor in between the LED and the power source. Thanks levy. Its a genuine ready made tail light from a vz monaro. So if they are the same voltage can i just cut the wires and hook them up like that?

Yeah, I'd assume that the monaro was running the same voltage to the break lights, and the resistor would have to be in the tail light itself so it should be fine. Unless there's something I'm not thinking of, so better just wait for someone else to confirm!

yeah that would b correct the resistors control the current 2 the LEDs neways so its always running off 12V same as the tail lights

Awesome well in that case keep an eye out for the VN with an LED monaro tail light
