    Default IRS question

My VP Berlina has a live rear axle. Can I swap this to independent rear suspension?

If you mean will it bolt straight in then, no, because they are completely different in the way they are fastened to the vehicle, different anchor points, different components etc. It wouldn't be impossible but would require major surgery.

I can't see why you'd want to. IRS cradle is 20kg heavier or thereabouts They don't handle all that flash either - all they give you is camber wear when you lower the arse!

Camber is fine on my VP. I wouldn't bother changing it from live to axle though. The live axle setup was very good in the end.

I have IRS, I wouldn't own another live axle car as a daily ever again.

Brother in law had a VN SS, now he has the VX SS, after driving both cars, I still prefer the VS.
