hey guys i wasnt sure where to post this.
well here goes
i have a vr berlina and it has a vp engine in it.
i am looking to do a manual conversion.
what parts should i be looking at getting??
vp or vr parts
or some of each thanks for all the help
should be the same i think?
1995 Manual HSV Clubsport
Wade Cam :: 9.2:1 CR :: Pacemaker headers :: Twin 2.5" Exhaust :: VT Brakes
1991 Supercharged VN Berlina
9 PSI SC14 Intercooled :: Genie headers :: Twin cats :: HM Twin 2.25 exhaust :: 3.45:1 LSD
VP/VR T5 Box. Easy swap. Do you have the stock VR ECU? If so that will need to be changed for a manual one.
Reaper
mechanically it's all the same from VN-VP-VR-VS s1. just don't get the bits from a s1 VN cause they have a different flywheel that doesn't fit VN s2 onwards(everything else does however)
as reaper mentioned, if it's a stock auto VR it will need a manual VR ecu/loom. if you don't swap the ecu's then you will get lots of error codes because the ecu can't see the trans as it's the electronic box, 4l60e

may be able to just retune the memcal instead of changing the whole ECU. i havent looked much into VR tunes, maybe foam can answer that

so i can get any box from a vn series 2 to a vs series 2? or are the t5s on the ecotec different?
thanks for the help
all the T5 boxes are the same from VN s1 to VS s1. however the flywheel is different on only the VN s1 and can't be used on VNs2 onwards, see
