yea it is overdrive, engaging the 4th gear, best used for economy, or so the handbook says.

    It should read like this

    [Park]
    [Reverse]
    [Neutral]
    [Overdrive]
    [3]
    [2]
    [1]

Overdrive is basically 4th, and is at a ratio less than 1:1 (Can't remember the exact ratio), for fuel economy.

    All Autos from VN onwards.

Same box is then Electronically controlled in VR and VS, although the gears show the same on the plate.

Only drive in that gear above 80k's (90 or 100 roads) otherwise it can stretch the bands. (and make the car 'bounce' between 3rd and 4th)

ill always have it in d(3rd) when going through traffic, if im cruising at 60 with nothing in front of me ill stick it in d(4th) then shift it down to d(3rd) when i have to slow down.

but i drive my auto like a manual with no clutch because. 1. im an idiot, and 2. im devo that i couldnt find a manual commy.
