Default Oh NO, not the CAS again!

It did it again. Fixed the Commy up for a long trip. Everything going sweet as. Took off and got 30-40km and suddenly no spark.

Last time, the engine would not start. This time it would not run. Damn fools that sent the tow truck out chose the wrong city to call so I ended up 70+km away from home where the car sat waiting for an Auto-electrician til monday (I had left on Sunday morning).

    Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

    Yeah.

Let's see. That makes four times the harmonic balancer has been off. First time the balancer was crook (noisy). Replaced it and then the engine was running but wouldn't start. Replaced the CAS (unbeknown to me with a VR one) and then the engine developed a vibration. This proved to be incompatible CAS and harmonic balancer combo. Replaced with a VN one (CAS and balancer) and OK. Then this one. I think this one is new but maybe not. Forgot to ask.

Ah well. I will keep the fingers crossed that that's the end of it.

be very careful, when i had my CAS replaced they decided to bang the balancer back on crushing the keyway and keying it 10deg off, leading to total engine destruction after many failed boost attempts due to a Vtec VN
