Hey guys been a while since ive been around... been crazy busy.
Now im going to assume that the Throttle body is a little cloged up and sticky cause when im driving along and sitting at the lights the cars is revving higher than she usually does, i give the Acellerator a tap an she goes back down to normal.
Also when putting her in park the same thing, and giving the acelerator a bit of a push it goes back down to normal.
The accelerator isnt stuck or anything, jsut dont like that she is revving so high.
Ive had a look around to find a thread to clean the throttle body but cant fond anythign, anyone have any ideas?
Thats all right, thats ok, I drive a commodore anyway!!!!
The best way to clean it is to remove it and then use a spray can of carby cleaner, it dissolves all that crud. Use a toothbrush for the stubborn parts.

I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
I think if your gonna clean your TB your gonna have to do the IAC too?

Well, for starters take the air box out and get a torch and have a good look on both sides of the butterly inside the TB, if you can see dark coloured stuff over it, buy some Throttle body/carby cleaner and give it a good clean. See if that rectifies the issue, if not, pull out and clean the IAC, if the Throttle is fairly firty its proabably a good diea to clean the IAC while your there because it will most probably be covered in crap too.
Also, dont forget to give the TB springs and mechanisms a good coat of WD40 to lube it up.
