Hi there i have just degreased my ngine and im just wondering whether it is safe to hose the entire engine down to get rid of the leftover grease that has come off during the degreasing proccess.
throw a bucket of warm water over it first .. yes
let it sit for 10 min before you start it

Yeah, you don't have to use a hose. I prefer to use a squirty water bottle type thing. Much more accurate, and less damaging to gaskets and seals.
Avoid the alternator, the spark leads, the battery, and anything else you think you shouldn't be getting wet.
