question on caliper reco

G`day all, can somebody tell me if its ok when re kitting single piston front calipers to clean up minor scuff marks on pistons or in the bore with fine [600 grade ] wet or dry abrasive paper. I want to do up a pair of vr calipers got from wreckers. thanks if you can give info.

From experience, in general, wet rub 1200 with out causing a flat spot is fine.
Wrap the wet paper around the piston and work with the shape to avoid distortion.
Not many people recon anymore.
