    Default coil box

    im might be buying a vn commy for 600 bux because it needs a new coil box. how hard are these to replace? is there n online tutorial 4 this? any help would be great

    ya dont need a tutorial, once you have the new one in your hands and look at the old one on the motor and have a look, its too easy to do.

    so i got the car running but without the new coil pack. the 1 i got from the wreckers looks different 2 the 1 in the car. didnt look at the old 1 because the car was a fair way away. the car runs rought so im thinkin of puttin the new coil pack in.

    That bottom picture of the coil pack is the better of the two, thats from series 2 engines.

    Match the Cylinder lumbers to the numbers to the coil pack.

    Looking from the front of the car into the engine bay, thats the cylinder order.

    the top picture is the series 1, and the bottom the series 2. the series 2 units are more durable because they dont run a high voltage like the series 1's do, which causes them to wear out quickly..
