Default Increasing the fuel boost.

I have heard people talk about boosting the fuel pressure in the VN/VP commodores by modifying the fuel pump. Etc.

What's the exact procedure to do. I am interested in doing this and would like to do it to my car.
Yes I could also imagine my fuel consumption going down but I am aware to do away with this.
Also is it worth doing this unless you have a full worked motor.

Cheers,
Jim

You dont need to do anything to your fuel system. Us a malpassi turbo fuel reg. you can adjust the psi of your fuel pressure with it. I use it with mine

boosting the pump pressure will not achieve anything other than possibly break the pump itself, or the fuel regulator, which will start acting furiously to relieve the extra pressure you've placed on it.

as jonny said, if you fit a new pressure regulator that's a start.

what your ECU will make of this i have no idea. i'd be interested to hear what happens next. i'd suggest some furious re-learning of fuel trims

Any autopro, Repco, Autobahn shop

Also grab a fuel pressure guage with it $40.

If you need any help in installing it give us a pm.

On my stock fuel pump etc vn my fuel pressure is set at 60psi on idle becuase of the supercharger. these are adjustable so you can select anywhere from 2psi to 100psi of fuel pressure.

Get the turbo model as the diafram is thicker and will last longer then the normal model

does this fuel reg let you run higher psi than stock, why in the world would you want to restrict pressure down below stock??????????

Only thing I am worried about now is that my engine is Series I, the fuel regulator bolts straight onto the fuel rail. Are these third party fuel regulators capable of doing the same thing.

Cheers,
Jim
