Default Changing over to a 80l fuel tank

Hi guys, when I change to an 80L fuel tank do I also need an external fuel pump? And can I use my fuel pump from the 63L inside the 80l? Cheers.

Pump is on the outside are the same 80ltr to 63ltr but the 80ltr has a inside lower pressure one thats what you require plus wiring for it. Ask GMH should be able to get the internal from them..

Other way around mate, all tanks run an internal pump but the VN V8's run an external lift pump aswell.

I put a Long range tank into my VN V6 using the original 63L internal pump, worked straight away.

airstrike, ive been looking for this magical 2nd pump and cant find it anywhere?

where is the tricky thing located?

btw, you need to take your instrument cluster out and flick the 60L dip over to 80L so that the sender reads the right voltage and displays the right fuel

i think the only pumps you can get from gm now are the internal v6 ones, the vn ones supersede to a vs one. i wanted to do this but someone said it wasnt easy.. i dunno if you fitted a surg tank and used the v6 pump couldnt you get away with it? i run my car on *** all petrol so its a dilema for me

Why waste money on a wanky cover? When you can buy the tank that sits lower, looks better and has a larger capacity incase it's ever needed.

The wanky covers have no practical use.

ok so everyone that has a large capacity tank fills it to he brim everytime they fill up?
no1 they DO look better, and i admit id rather have it cosmetically, but thats just a v6 owner thing, its the wank factor same as everything else on a v6

no2 i would fill it to the top if i was going away or something

no3 saying that a cosmetic upgrade is ricy is a stupid thing, i wonder if you feel the same way about your rims, or other peoples exhaust tips

I always fill the tank in mine. Let me guess your one of those blokes who scrounges up $7.80 in change to put fuel in your car?
#1 - How do they look better? They are the exact same as a 63lt one, they arnt made of stainless steel with titanium straps.
#2 - Ummmm ok, so once a year you will use it for what it's made.
#3 - It is ricey to say your putting a larger tank in, not for its practicality, but for the looks.

I have filled mine quite often like i said in my post it's good to have incase it's ever needed.

On my many trips to sydney and back it came in handy as i didn't have to stop in the middle of nowhere and pay the higher price for fuel that these middle of nowhere towns charge.

why does anyone put exhaust tips on? why upgrade yor rims? why get personalised plates?
im a poser now because i dont fill my tank up to the top?
it just so happens that i need a replacement tank anyway, so im not wastin my money at all, they sit lower than the 63l tank, becoming a somewhat ornamental some people like that, some people dont, to me i like the idea of my ass end sitting an inch off the ground, others prefer bodykits
but i still dont see how you now what looks better than the rest of us.

im putting an 80l tank in because i think the skinny ass vn rear bars dont make the car look low enough. with the tank an inch off the ground it looks lower therefor better in my book, as for defects thats my consiquence, when i have an ss maybe ill see things your way, because you obviously dont pose much
