Hey guys, just went and started my car up and let it run for about 10 minutes before i attempted to drive off, was fine until i got out onto the road, then it started choking and spluttering and running like a bag of ****.
It had a major service on thursday and the engine bay was degreased. It's been choking a bit in idle since i got it back up until before when it ran like a barge when i pulled out onto the road. Sounded like an idle a V8 has with a stupidly mega lumpy cam in it.
Could this have anything to do with my car running like a bucket of ****?

That's what my neighbour reckons too. He was like "sounds like a fuel blockage there mate".
Just started her up again, now it's idling like ****. When you give it a bit of a rev, it sounds like it's about to backfire.

Should be, it was running fine from Thursday afternoon until this morning. I was thinking the leads, but if the leads weren't on right, wouldn't it have been running like crap as soon as i got it back?

also one time my lights would often not work on high beam, the cause was just that the fuse contacts were filthy, so check your fuel pump fuses and relays too.
if they degreased it, their maybe water in the dizzy.
Research has shown that men usually sleep on the right side of the bed.
Even in our sleep we happen to be right.

Sweet as cheers buddy. And firing order: right side 1-3-5, and left side 2-4-6?

Will do cheers mate.
So the coil pack fireing order is definantly 634 521 left to right side of the pack? I have one of the upgraded round top Bosch ones, not the flat top ones.

Not sure, they were all changed on thursday during the major service. Good chance one of them is rooted. He can sort it when i take it back. If it's something to do with the degreasing of the engine bay, i'm not paying for it, i didn't ask him to degrease it, he did it himself without telling me, therefore if this is a direct result of that, i'm not paying for it to be corrected.
Different story if i had of asked for him to do it.

Maybe they just gave you a dodgy plug or lead. Does the VP have a way of checking fault codes?
