1991 Hsv Vn T30

New around the forum!

i recently purchased as VN T30

Had a good look around and cant seem to find much for what im looking for

Im looking for as much info as i can get on the VN T30

I understand the basics of what is it but can someone fill me in?

Its real.

There a V8. Think the kit was the same as SV91 etc. The one i saw in pictures somewhere was white. Only 30 made apparently

OK the car is based on the SS & the SV89

Its called a SV T30

It's the only base VN model with a sunroof as standard and the first with a CD player as standard too. Only available in Alpine White.

It has the dealer number (the sales position for the prevoius year out of 30 was the dash tag number).

Also had the SV5000 CAI, knock sensor with retuned 180kw engine biger exhuast and LSD. Also the 4th gear lockup was lifted to 80kph and had increased caster with beefed up FE2 suspension.

So a smart looking SS with SV89 body kit and it's 1 of 30.

Simply a great car to own. Half ya luck.

Hi guys. Was just seeing if there was still any activity on this thread.

The T30 was actually produced in 2 series. The first series was all white in colour with leather trim. The full compliment of 30 were produced & were distributed to the top 30 hsv dealers across the country. The build number was the ranking of the dealer. These vehicles were never available to the general public as a new vehilce. The dealers were required to keep them for a minmum of 3 months before being able to sell them

The Series 1 was rated at approx. 180kw & featured all the luxury comforts with momo accessories.

The 2nd series was released in 91 & was modelled on the series 2 vn berlina with all the powerpack options. This was in the time of a reccession in australia & only 10 were actually produced, not the full 30. This series was a 2tone blue with the running gear of the sv5000 & mild body accessories. As with the series 1, the car featured the dealer name pinstriped on the bootlid & the dash badge also had the dealer name & number. The no. 1 vehicle in this series was an extra special vehilce as it represented the 5000 hsv produced from memory.

All in all the T30 or Top 30 HSV is somewhat a rare vehicle to hear of & find & even most dealers aren't even aware of what it is.

If there is anyone with info that conflicts with my research I will stand corrected. It was some 8 years ago that i went through the history of this vehicle
