L3 Trip computer not accurate

Hey all,
My L3 trip computer in my VP isn't reporting how much fuel is left in the tank and the distance to empty properly. Distance to empty when I have about half a tank always says around the 700k mark which is way out. And when I press reset to see the amount of fuel in the tank it is always around the 50 to 60 litre mark. Except when I get low on fuel and the fuel light comes on then it starts reporting the distance to empty and the amount of fuel in the tank accurately. So I don't understand whats going on? Does anyone know how to fix it? Cheers.

2 things it could be.

1 is the tank could be set to 80lt tank instead of the 60.

2 the flow rate may have been changed from the standard 625.

The flow is on 625. Im pretty sure its set to 60L but Ill have a look. Anything else it could be? Thanks for that.

unless the float in the tank is stuck, did you recently install a pump?

When you unplug the trip computer it resets itself so it may be braking contact.

actully if its a v6 it would show sometign like 700 if not more if it was completely reset, my v8 displays about 700 kays if its been reset

make sure the distance calibration is also set to 625

hey all, just got my l3 conversion in today, just wondering on how to do this calibration, also my average speed is out, on hwy doin 110 and its saying 75.8 or 80 or around 65 area, when parked it had 69.5, i dont know whats wrong with it

Avg speed is simpley that. if you reset the trip computer when on a long 100km road. it will say 100 avg for some time until you slow. So if you slow to say 90kph for a few mins it will drop to 98, 97 the longer you drive at 90.
