Default no heater and central locking

hi guys, my heater only blows cold air in the vp, doesnt matter if cold or heat setting. heater taps been replaced, there was a crack in the vac line from pipes to throttle body which has been fixed and even the white part that the dial rod is moving.

can anyone give me ideas please. in the radio area i can hear something hissing when the cars turned off even using the fan.

also my back left central locking motor doesnt work either. whys that. if its the motor can i buy ford central locking acuators and wire them to ford spec and patch them in (No smartlock) and still keep the holden keys as the ford acuators are only acuators.

or can i get a cheap individual acuator from jaycar

because FORDS ARE BETTER THAN HOLDENS WITH THE AMOUNT OF PROBLEMS HOLDENS HAVE, NEARLY 500 DOLLARS FOR A WINDSCREEN AND BONNET HINGES AT GARLAND CRASH REPAIRERS KADINA AND NEARLY 400 DOLLARS AT ROSEWARNES HOLDEN KADINA FOR A IGN LOCK, NOW FORDS DONT HAVE ANY OF THOSE PROBLEMS WE HAD A ED FUTURA AND NO TROUBLE WITH BONNET HINGES OR LEAKING TAIL LIGHTS OR POWER STEERING RACKS LEAKING OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT AND THATS WHY IM GETTING A ED FAIRMONT BECAUSE I LIKE FORDS BETTER AND NO PROBLEMS WITH THE ACUATORS AND ONE OF MY HOLDEN ACUATORS DONT WORK SOMETIMES.

the reason for the ford smartlock just for keyless entry is because the adelaide jaycar keyless entry kits are nearly 60.00 an im not spending that if im selling the car if i can get a 2nd hand module and remotes from upullit elizabeth or lonsdale.

You need to save to buy a EB Falcon?? Man they are worth nothing.....Sell the VP and buy 2 or 3 EB's with the money!

As for Fords not having problems, who are you trying to kid?? I am yet to see a Ford without an oil leak......Generally, they are covered in anti rust agent (oil).

Go to the Ford forums, stop posting meaningless crap here and leave all of us alone!

high priced wreckers and dealerships isnt a car problem. if you could actually learn how to shop around, and try different places, you mightve had better luck.

i paid $200 fitted for a windscreen, ignition barrel for $150 from memory from autobarn, the hinges in all 3 commodores ive owned have never given me trouble, and imsure can be had for stuff all at a good wreckers.

now that you have stated your intentions and preferences to car brand, can you please move onto a ford forum and leave us in peace?

If your fair dinkum about fixing your car, i MAY have a central locking actuator you cna have for 15 bux + postage. BUT you will have to wait and see which ones another memeber needs, as he needs three so if he only needs one back one then i have a spare.

champ, i got a set of passenger side actuators (front and rear) from a VR

not too sure if the looms are the same but you could always re-wire 'em

PM me and we can organise something.

Drivers front is different to the rears. BOTH rears are the same, but BOTH front ones are different even passenger and driver are different in the fronts. I can take photos if you like.

My rule, always get 3 quotes as a minimum.

Our spare car is an ED Fairmount, 600000k's on the clock still on the same heads, diff, gearbox everything. The only thing that goes wrong with it is that the power steering pump leaks and drips onto the alternator, which then kills that as well.

Just a question, if you owned a ford in the first place, why did you switch to Holden?

Wiring wise i have no idea, i think the front has more wires but i may be wrong. They are physically a different size and so is the little bit on the end. I have no experience with after market actuators so i cant really say.
These are the seperate types of actuators:
    Front Passenger
    Front Drivers
Rear Both (Passenger and drivers are identical even same part number but only for rear)
