    what does it do and secondly what are the benefits of an adjustable panhard rod

    it centres the diff, aligning the wheels so they dont scrub. probabaly only needed when going with low springs, (super low etc)

    yep coz when u lower your car the diff is pushed off center to the right (looking from the rear of the car) causing the tyre to scrub more on that side. an adjustable panhard rod has an adjustable turnbucklein the middle of it that is used to either lengthen or shorten the rod according to how much the car has been lowered.
    the germans designed it, the aussies built it, the japs got it moving and the wogs got it dosing...

    Actually, the car body is pushed to the left, the diff is on the ground so it doesn't move. Being pedantic I know, but that is what happens.

    if you want to know what it does, take it off, takes two seconds and a 19mm(maybe smaller) socket to get it off... then push one side of your car.. youll soon learn what it does.

    Adj. is for lowering. The standard panhard rod is designed for spring height X, when you lower it to height Y the standard bar wont be designed for it. So, you buy and adj. rod to change it from X to Y.
