car bogs down when taking off
hey guys, my car runs on dual fuel (v6) and i put a v8 throttle body on minus the mixer (run on petrol). the car bogs down when i take off. it used to do this b4 i screwed my alternator but after i changed it, it was ok. my fuel pump is really noisy and i am led to believe that this may be the problem? or could my 2nd hand alternator my uncle gave me rooted? thanx
check your fuel filter and pressure.

fuel filter was replaced about a year ago. pressure...how do i check this? as i said in my 1st post, when i changed my alternator over it wasn't doing this. :S

10 min job, its above the diff on the drivers side of the car. Jack it up and crawl under!

what is the recent serivice history of the car?

the car is due for a service this week...changing oil, oil filter and fuel filter.

if plugs, fuel filter, etc are on the list then get the car up to scratch service wise then work form there. you never know the problem may be a faulty service item.
your not getting a battery light are you?

car starts first time every time...havnt had the battery light come on, so i doubt its the alternator...im gonna service it this week oils, oil filter and fuel filter. plugs werent done too long ago.

my car bogged out in the low revs when i first bought it. a new coil pack fixed it.
check your spark plugs. Are they right gap and heat range??
