Default help me my car is gay!!!

ok, so i've got my eye on a VN commodore i see round here for sale, only thing is it's got bonnet pins.
the paint looks good so i don't want to just chuck a whole new bonnet on it, what's the deal with getting pins removed and the holes filled?

how much would this (and a repsray of the area needed) cost me?

yeah but i figured painting smaller bits to match would be cheaper than doing the whole thing

still, could be hard to spot colour match.

Just take them out and use the normal latch, put some colour coded grommets in the hole? Thats the cheap fix, when yo have the money buy a new bonnet.

Mate there is no such thing as spot matching, trust me I colour match for a living. Your comparing new and old paint, just get the whole bonnet done it won't be that expensive.
If you want to save some money rub it all back yourself beforehand.

Ive rang a few places recently to get a quote to spray my bonnet and rear bar, most quotes were around the 500-600 mark for both.
One dude said $300 per panel, so theres a benchmark for you.

just remember if you spray a whole bonnet you will have to blend the tops of the guards to get the color %100 even if its a solid color

Fussy buggers. Near enough is good enough on a VN, so long as it's got the pressumed 5 litre you've been looking for in it, no ones going to care about the paint or the bonnet pins
