    Default High rev problem

    Hi all.
This is a problem that I asked a while ago but still haven't had any joy yet in solving it.
I have a VP SS V8 manual car with standard air (non climate). The car is on LPG (CHEAP 340km to 50l gas). My problem is that when I let the sit in the sun for a while and go to start the car it revs at around 1400rpm on idle and the air con doesn't work. The car is also sluggish up hills. The problem occurs on gas and petrol. I have taken it to eleco's the gas installer and numerous other people and they give me different stories.
    THE ELECTRICAIN
He told me that he is 99% sure its a gas problem even though it does the same thing on petrol (revs 200rpm slower on petrol).
    THE GAS INSTALLER
He said it's a computer problem or memcal issue
    OTHER PEOPLE
Won't look at it cause it has gas and they got NO IDEA

I had the gas system installed in june last year and the problem showed up in November. Had a O2 sensor replaced in march and pacemakers installed in jan 08

    Any ideas from anybody????
    Cheers

Would this iac motor be loacted near my throttle body and would it automatically turn off my air con?

the IAC is on the throttle body.... the computer turns the aircon off when it sees you want power... how it sees this MAYBE has something to do with the IAC im not sure...happens when the engine is under load or when the driver is demanding power ie pressing more in the throttle..i think

It happens when the car sits in the sun for around 4 hours on a sunny day on startup, then sometimes after around 20mins of driving the aircon kicks in and all is normal. GRIMLINS?????

Could this be similar to the problem another person has mentioned on another thread about a revving problem but while he's driving? I am also having a problme with suddently revs going up while driving and so far no one has been able to identify why so I am stuck with the problme at present as well. (The other thread is under the heading "vs v6 very strange rev problem". Any my car is a VY, however, the problem sounds similar in some ways).

Maybe tps sensor, it's what tells the AC to shut off/on on throttle, a half broken one will also stuff up your idle and you will most likely feel the torque converter lock and unlock rapidly when you are holden speed constant near the lock up speed at around 80 km/h, whack a whole spare v6 throttle body on it for a test if that cures it then you know the problem is either the IAC or TPS which are both in the throttle body and then you can swap the good sensors onto your V8 throttle body
