im wondering whats better the nolathane adjustable strut tops or the kmac ones. i bought the nolathane ones for 170 new and i picked up a set of kmac ones near new for 30 dollars. is it worth getting the kmac ones on? any info would be much appreicated
which k mac ones are they? the older style ones are still good.... but the new style full adjustable ones are awesome
nolathane ones are ok, but the only problem with the ones i installed was that it sat the car about 2 or 3 CM's higher after they were installed
the kmac ones are pretty much new. i didnt relise they were so exspensive but i said to the guy i can get them new for 100 and he is like u can have them for 30. hehe came with the kmac plates ontop too
ive got a set of nolathane spin adjustable ones for the vn, theyre ok, but not that much adjustment. i bought a set of noltecs for the vp(slightly modified thanks to the guys at noltec), and they look great. not on the car yet though.
then i got a set of nolathane evolution fully adjsutable strut tops for the bmw, and they look good too. steel instad of aluminum like the noltecs, quality looks a bit rougher, but id say theyll be pretty good on the car.
havent seen any kmac ones in person, so cant comment.
mate the k-mac adjustable tops are the best as they provide a 4 way movement to compensate the camber and the castor... i have a set in my vn now and i will never get anything but the k-macs {even if they cost around $350 brand new}
you definetly got a bargain for $30 man good hagglin....
haha i didint really haggle too much, i help the old guy alot with prices of car parts on that vp calais and ripped out all the wiring for like 20 bucks and 2 beers, he has given me the mint rear shockies for nothing and at first i bought a full carpet set for boot . couldnt find it anywhere now i can take what i want off that car for nothing. im stoked .
i just found with the nolathane ones i have on slip outa camber quite easy mind u i have a strut brace on there too. but she is gonna be taken off and sold. prolly with the nolathane strut tops too. i think i will just go the kmac ones now. cheers blokes
I've got the Nolathane Evo's on the VP, they worked really well(??) but I like the look of the K-Macs with the external adjuster- Just worried about the fitting of the Strut brace....
So is that chrome thing on top just for wank factor??
My bad...
nolathane = no no,
mine got jacked up! my super lows are now just lows...... it was a rough day that one...... many beers were sacrificed while i greived the gain in ride height
Japanese scientists have created a camera with such speed that they now can photograph a woman with her mouth shut!
Standard nolthanes raise your car a bit, ****ed me off too. My FE2 became stock ride height. I got used to it but it ****ed me off none the less
I like Noltec fully adjustables
but the are big dollars
