do u have to take the whole strut out or is there an easier way???
whole struts gota come out.
Shut up when I'm talkin' to you, you hear me, answer me!
what about a spring compressor
Still gota take the strut out to get the spring off of the strut, you have to compress the spring so you dont break anything (window, face!) when you undo the top of the strut to get the spring off.

You can do it without completely removing the entire strut, but its usually just easiest to do it that way, the only thing that can be a pain is the lower ball joint (sometimes tricky to separate from the strut) and you can drop the strut under the guard by unbolting the lower control arm from the k-frame and possibly the radius rod and changing the spring like that.
Power is measured in DECIBEL
I pull mine out the side of the gaurd to save ball joint trouble leaving the strut attached at the bottom, it's a hassle but doable. I've done it a few times like that
i drop the strut and lower control arm together (again saving the balljoint hassle) but need a 30mm socket for the nut that holds the radius rod through the control arm. also need a decent power bar or 1/2" rattle gun at this baby is loctited to stop it coming loose
you can get the standard spring off without a spring compressor but it's a risk as there is a fair amount of load on it. i lay it down on the grass with my foot pushing the strut mount down, that way when it lets go the strut top digs into the grass without doing any damage anywhere. low/superlows springs don't require a spring compressor to fit on a again
