    Default Converter Housing Bolts

Ok i have searched and havent been able to find anything that helps.
I blew my trans (auto) a while ago and have just had some mates over this wkend to give me a hand to swap it over. Basically how the hell are you supposed to remove the converter housing bolts?? If you lower the rear of the trans like the manual says then the sump fouls on the front crossmember.
Its a 5L VQ stato if that makes any difference...
Im beginning to think it may be easier to pull the bloody motor out with the trans.
    Cheers for any help,
    Tim

Much easier to pull the motor out with the trans Done it a couple of times - it helps to jack up the back of the car nice and high, so you don't have to tilt the engine as far up.

Just undo them, there is like 6 bolts. Leave the engine how it is and undo the bolts, not hard at all. Sure the gap can be a bit tight. Get teh car up on 4 ramps so you can get to the bolts from underneath too.

The cars high enough, the base is about 700mm in the air.
I would just undo then but there is no way the sockets going to fit . Im going to give it a go with a 3/8 drive socket, hopefully the smaller dimensions will give it just enough clearance.
