    Question BRAKE issue

i have a problem with my breaks which i cant figure out whats wrong with them.
i think it might be the break booster.
but i noticed my breaks are pretty ****ty and after a few days you can see the break dust on the wheels but not mainly the front ones but no break dust on the front but on the back wheels mainly on the rear right wheel.

    what could be the problem?
iv had a service on them new pads and rotors and flush.

brake dust is normal on the rims mate. the master cylinder could be on its way out by the sound of things. More info is needed though, when u say the brakes are ****ty what exactly do u mean. Pedal hard to push or is it very soft?

i know that break dust is normal but its not on the right wheels. pedals soft to push but then it goes hard towards the end and i can push the pedal all the way to the end

most of my 'brake' dust is on the rears mate. When the master cylinder went in my KB it was soft but was hard towards the end and i could push it all the way.

i just noticed on my dads car the break dust is mainly on the fronts due to the fact because most of the percentage of breaking is with the fronts mines like the opposite lol.
anyways yeh so i guess it would be the master cylinder.
theres nothing i can do to fix that can i?
    just for the mean time?
cos im doing a vt break upgrade in a few months but i want it to be a bit safer for now

    maybe the breaks are breaken?

sounds like seized calipers to me...

take the pins out of the calipers, and grease them up with wheel bearing high temp grease.. then put them back in (dont forget to clean the pins off)

should do the trick also remember to use lock tite,, a caliper bolt is the LAST thing you want comming loose

How much do you reckon a place would charge to check all the calipers and fix em up if thats the problem?

they would see you comming 1000 kilometers away,

and tell you that your brake pads needed more fluid and the brake pads are the wrong sizeand thats caused premature tyre wear :P

but in all honosty maybe $200?

If you noticed above earlier, we were talking about abnormal amounts of brake dust on the rear wheels, not just brake dust.

Anyway, it WAS seized calipers, the front ones were also pretty bad and now the car stops much better.

This time, the correct word and spelling would actually have been BREAK
