vn stalls when driving

hey guys got a v6 vn and have been driving it lately and when i been cruising around it is just stalling sometimes, doesnt seem to splutter or anything just stalls with out any notice, anyone had this problem before? or know what i should have a look at? would it have to do with the coil pack? casue sometimes it doesnt kick over, give the coil pack a little jiggle and it turns on like a 2 dollar whore,,,,hmmm got me spun as i have no mechanical knowledge with these v6s.

Could be the coil pack, another thing could be the crank angle sensor (CAS) which is behind the harmonic balancer (the big circle thing at the front of the engine, right at the bottom where a belt is on)

If you pour a bucket of water over that and start the car, rumour has it that will work to get you home, but I havent actually tried that! lol

Also fuel pump is another one.
try and get some codes out of the computer.
