    Default Bonnet Sound Deadener

Hi all, i'm just wondering if there are any issues with scraping the Bonnet Sound Deadener stuff apart from the obvious...more noise. Mine's falling apart a little. If it is ok to remove then should I remove the black circular plugs that hold it there?

    Take it all off

i dont see why there would be any other issues other than noise, probably heat the bonnet alot more though.

my old mans VN 1 never had any sound deadener in the first place anyway, so i reckon it will be fine.

Easiest way to remove it, is to drill those black plugs out, you cant pull them out. But if scrapping the mat then just rip it off, and u could drill the plugs out or just cut them with wire cutters or something.

Also its fibre glass, so be very carful. It makes you itchy, hurts your eyes and can kill you if you breath it in, so be careful, or use proper protection.

Yeah up to how you want to do it, if its shagged, just gently tear it off, or even cut around the clips so you dont make a mess. Then just cut the clips off. I personelly didnt use protection, but im not the brightest spark haha.
