Your gonna need a big hammer and some gap filler to get that vx dash to fit

Sounds like a big project, Take pics as you go and you can fill us all in on how to fit one. Have you made any enquireies about it being legal though. About the imobiliser though, I dont know about the vx's, but i did bypass one on a vp motor so it could go into a hq, Which if it has similar wiring to an ecotec, it should simply be a matter of finding where the wire goes into the computer from the imobiliser and diconnect it off the imobiliser and hook it up to acc so it powers it when the ignition is on. But you will have to check the print to see if thats possible for you

No wonder you want to replace the dash in the VP, it looks like an abortion in that green colour.

Seriously, is it worth the time, effort and money doing all that you want to that VP?

I'd be chucking it in the bin and looking for an SS or Calais.

This falls squarely into the category of "if you have to ask you probably shouldn't try".
