would all this be ok in a standard efi 5L?
As Wagon_Wheel said, all a waste of money on a stock 5 litre....If putting a cam in, then thats a different story!
what if the engine is old and in need of a refresh? also will be supercharged soon.
There is no point doing push rods or valve springs on a stock, non cammed motor, unless they are actually damaged.
They will do nothing performance wise.
Also, roller rockers dont do a great deal with the 5ltrs, like they do on the V6's, because there is only ratio's of 1.6 and 1.65 i think, which is just on stock ratio anyway.
Where as the V6 ones have may different options for different purposes.
If your looking to freshen up your motor, maybe get a VRS set and chuck that in and clean it all up, and maybe take the heads in to get freshened up too
You might as well get the springs in, if you feel like doing somethingthey aren't much different than the stock springs pressure wise but usually makes them a little crisper up high if the old ones have been around the block a few million times. Forget the rockers tho, waste of time
Agreed with Greenfoam, if you are rebuilding the engine then by all means wack a new set of valve springs in.....
